Launch of the Meat Industry Strategic Plan 2010-2015

The Meat Industry Strategic Plan 2010-2015 (MISP3) was launched today at a function at Parliament House in Canberra.

The Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, the Hon Tony Burke MP, spoke about the importance of the industry as part of the broader agriculture sector.

AQIS Efficiency Gains Welcomed

Red Meat Advisory Council Ltd Chairman, Ian McIvor AM, has welcomed Minister Burke’s announcement regarding the Federal Government’s intention to modernise the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Services’ (AQIS) delivery of export inspection as a quid pro quo to the implementation of full cost recovery.
